What is strategy coaching?
-
find the steps needed to overcome challenges,
-
reach your chosen goals.
Is this right for me?
-
your role and performance at work;
-
your life in education;
-
your wider life.
Job Coaching
This is 1-to-1 work, and can be combined with 3-way sessions with a line manager or HR. A joined-up approach can help us get to the crux of what’s going on and agree on how best to move forwards.
Wider Life & Education
1-to-1 sessions focus on overcoming specific challenges. We might look at: external barriers, ways to regulate your emotions, and how you understand yourself. We plan next steps together.
Neurodiversity Profile Mapping
We use the Do-IT Solutions screening tool to map out your strengths and needs. With you, we then interpret the findings and assemble a bank of strategies to benefit you.

- feel more confident;
- feel able to be more independent;

- have more knowledge to share with those around you – this might be especially impactful at work.

The keys to building a happier and more fulfilling future are:
1: Seeing the hurdles we face in life from a new perspective. 2: Realising when we have internalised these challenges. And 3: Learning to value and accept ourselves with more compassion.
How does it work?
- Typically, we meet for one hour a week.
- Our standard coaching programme is 10 weeks long.
- Job coaching needs can vary: two extended sessions might be sufficient for addressing minor obstacles, otherwise we recommend a block of 6 sessions.
- Sessions can take place in your preferred setting, depending on your location and circumstances. This might be your home, workplace, college, a café, or online via Zoom or Google Meet.

What our clients say
Alex helped me understand that there are people like me. It’s made me more open to myself and others, instead of being paranoid, and I appreciated that our time together felt welcoming, not forced.
I’ve found so much more focus and productivity, I feel like I’ve opened up new capacity I didn’t know I had! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend WayMakers to all!
Alex understood me well and was gentle and patient with me. She gave me things to try, and didn’t make me feel bad when things didn’t work, instead giving me more helpful suggestions of other things to try.
This helped me be the most productive I’d been for a long time. I felt less stressed, felt I was contributing to the team, and I enjoyed being given more responsibilities at work. I felt there was a stronger working relationship with my line manager and since I was able to start meeting the criteria on my Action Plan, I was granted an extension to support my ongoing development.
